A long holiday in Bangkok the wellness-tourism aesthetic itinerary for 7-10 day visitors

In one paragraph

If you have a full week or longer — Chinese Golden Week, Japanese Obon, GCC Eid, Korean Chuseok, a Western Christmas-to-NY corridor — you have something a five-day business traveler doesn't: time for the deeper, longer-result treatments and a real Bangkok experience between them. This guide is the 7-day and 10-day aesthetic itinerary for a long-holiday visit to Bangkok — what treatments fit the window, the day-by-day schedule, the hotels around our two BTS-adjacent branches, and the low-impact Bangkok activities that won't compromise your recovery.

01Why a long holiday in Thailand is the smartest aesthetic-tourism window

Aesthetic medicine works best when the patient has time for two things: the treatment itself, and the small adjustment that often comes after. Express Bangkok trips (3-5 days) work fine for Botox or a single skin booster — but the moment a treatment is more involved (thread lift, multi-area filler, a Sculptra course, an Ulthera package), the day-3 follow-up that catches the small asymmetry or the lump that didn't dissolve becomes the difference between a great result and a 'I'll address it next year' result.

A 7-day Bangkok holiday gives you that follow-up. It also gives you the rest of Bangkok.

Most Asian and GCC patients we host already know they want to combine aesthetic medicine with a real holiday — they're booking flights for Songkran, Golden Week, Eid, or Christmas anyway, and the question is whether to slot the treatment into that trip or to make a separate flight purely for the procedure. The answer is almost always 'slot it into the long trip' — economic, comfort-of-recovery-environment, and follow-up-availability all align.

02What treatments unlock at 7 days that aren't smart at 3 days

Express trips of 3-5 days are limited to fast-recovery procedures: Botox, Pico Laser, basic skin boosters, Aqua Pure, light HIFU. A 7-day window opens the door to:

Thread lift (PDO/PCL). Bruising peaks at day 2-3, full settling by day 7.

The day-7 follow-up at the clinic catches any thread-end visibility or mild asymmetry — both adjustable on the spot, neither catchable from another country.

Multi-area filler with a planned top-up. Many filler patients benefit from a small day-7 additional dose once the first round has settled. A 7-day visit makes this routine — the second appointment is built in.

Sculptra (collagen biostimulator) initial dose with the day-7 photo + plan for the second course. Sculptra is a 2-3 dose protocol over 4-6 weeks; the first visit captures dose 1 + sets up the course logistics for the patient's home country.

Combined Ulthera + Botox + filler day. Energy-based treatment day 1, injectables day 3 once initial heat-redness has settled, follow-up day 6. Tighter symmetry, more predictable result.

Skin booster course (Profhilo / Juvelook / Belluxi). 2-dose protocols at 4-week intervals. First dose day 2, photo + assessment day 7, second dose scheduled for the patient's next inbound trip or done at a partner clinic in their home country.

03The 7-day Bangkok arc — day-by-day

03 recovery day 3 5 low impact

The schedule below is the standard arc we run for 7-day foreign-traveler patients. Adjust the treatment days based on what you're having; the consult-day, recovery-day, and follow-up-day rhythm stays the same.

Day 1 (arrival). Hotel check-in. Optional same-day LINE message confirming next day's slot. Light dinner; no alcohol; sleep.

Day 2 (consult day). Morning at the clinic — full consultation, photos, plan.

If you brought passport + travel insurance details, the consult covers everything you need to commit. Treatments that can happen same-day: Botox, light fillers, energy-based work.

If your plan involves thread lift or multi-area filler, the doctor schedules treatment for day 3 instead of same-day so you've got a clear-headed decision.

Day 3 (treatment day, if not done day 2). Morning treatment. Afternoon at the hotel — feet up, ice packs ready, reading. No spa.

Days 4-5 (recovery + low-impact Bangkok). The bruising and swelling window.

Bangkok activities that don't fight your recovery: BACC art museum, Jim Thompson House tour, Chao Phraya river cruise (covered seating), high tea at a Sukhumvit hotel, Thai cooking class with seated demo. Skip the markets, skip Khao San Road, skip the rooftop bar at noon.

Day 6 (follow-up). Morning back at the clinic — quick photo + visual check by the same doctor. Adjustments made on the spot if needed. Afternoon free.

Day 7 (fly home). Most filler / Botox / HIFU is fully cleared for flight by day 7. Thread lift requires day 5+, ideally day 7+. Massive Suvarnabhumi-departure swelling is rare by day 7.

  • Day 1: arrive · light dinner · sleep
  • Day 2: consult + light treatment
  • Day 3: full treatment (if multi-area)
  • Days 4-5: low-impact Bangkok
  • Day 6: doctor follow-up
  • Day 7: fly home (recovery cleared)

04The 10-day premium arc — when to extend

Patients combining a thread lift with a Sculptra course, or who want both the aesthetic side and the wellness side of Bangkok (Thai massage from day 5, traditional medicine consultation, IV drip, weight-management consultation) benefit from a 10-day window.

Days 1-7. Same as the 7-day arc above.

Day 8. Add-on procedure if planned (second filler area, second Sculptra dose if your trip allows the 4-week wait, combined skin booster course).

Otherwise: rest day, traditional Thai massage (day-5 minimum required for any pressure work).

Day 9. Final check at the clinic. Photo handoff to the patient's home dermatologist via email (we send the post-procedure record in DICOM-compatible format on request).

Day 10. Fly home. Most-comprehensive bookings end here.

05Long-holiday windows worth flying through

02 long holiday recovery lounge

Each market has 1-3 reliable long-holiday windows per year that align well with this itinerary. Our LINE channel sees these surges every year and the clinic staffs accordingly — same-day Korean / Mandarin / Arabic / English support is on for the full duration of each peak.

Pin a date below to your home country's calendar; if the dates align with a 7-10 day window where you can step away from work, that's your flight.

  • 🇨🇳 China — Spring Festival / Lunar New Year (late Jan / early Feb, 7-day mandatory holiday) · National Day Golden Week (Oct 1-7, 7-day mandatory holiday). Both are perfect 7-day windows.
  • 🇯🇵 Japan — Golden Week (Apr 29-May 6, 2026 = ~8 days) · Obon (mid-Aug, 5-day customary) · Silver Week (Sep 19-23, 2026 — rare 5-day holiday, only every 5-7 years) · New Year (Dec 28-Jan 4).
  • 🇰🇷 Korea — Chuseok (Sep/Oct, 3-5 days + weekend = 7-day window) · Lunar New Year (Feb, similar) · summer break.
  • 🇸🇦🇦🇪 GCC — Eid al-Fitr (post-Ramadan, 3-7 days varies by country) · Eid al-Adha (post-Hajj, similar) · summer escape from desert heat (Jun-Aug, 2-4 week leisure window — the best alignment for the 10-day arc).
  • 🇭🇰 Hong Kong — Lunar NY · Easter long weekend extended · Christmas/NY corridor.
  • 🇷🇺 Russia — New Year extended holiday (Dec 30-Jan 8 = 10 days) · May holidays (May 1-9) · school summer.
  • 🇮🇩🇲🇾 Indonesia + Malaysia — Lebaran / Eid al-Fitr (1-2 weeks effective) · Christmas · school holidays.
  • 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇦🇺 Western — Christmas/NY (Dec 22-Jan 3) · Easter · July-Aug summer.

06Hotels we recommend by branch

Recovery comfort matters. The single biggest difference-maker on day-1 swelling is a good blackout curtain, a quiet floor, and an air-conditioning unit that doesn't dry your skin out.

The list below is sorted by walking distance to each branch, with day-1 recovery suitability noted.

Near Siam Square One (BTS Siam, our flagship) — Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square (3-min walk, room service breakfast, blackout-curtained Premier rooms ideal for day-1), Centara Grand at CentralWorld (10-min skywalk, full-service spa for day-5+ massage, executive lounge for quiet light meals), Lub d Bangkok Siam (5-min walk, mid-budget, communal lounge — works for solo travelers).

Near Ekamai (BTS Ekamai exit 4, our standalone clinic) — Compass SkyView Hotel (8-min walk, quiet residential location, generous in-room desks for evening read-recovery), Aira Hotel Bangkok (5-min walk, smaller boutique, walk-in massage adjacent), Park Hyatt Bangkok (3 BTS stops away, premium-tier, recommended for the 10-day arc with full spa + concierge support).

07What to do in Bangkok while you're recovering — the low-impact menu

Recovery rules from the [aftercare guide](/en/blog/bangkok-aesthetic-aftercare-recovery-guide): no direct sun, no sauna, no aerobic exercise, no firm pressure on the treated area. That still leaves a long list of Bangkok experiences.

Day 3-5 (peak recovery, gentle activities only). Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) — air-conditioned, central, contemporary art rotation.

Jim Thompson House — quiet garden, covered walkways, manageable hour. River cruise on the Chao Phraya — covered seating, gentle pace, sunset window with SPF protection.

Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) — quiet, large enough to walk slowly. Tea or high tea at a Sukhumvit hotel — Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, Erawan tea lounge.

Day 5+ (more flexibility). Traditional Thai massage (day-5 minimum, only if no thread lift involved — thread lift patients wait 14 days).

Cooking class — seated demonstration format, not the steam-heavy hands-on kind. Boutique shopping at Siam Square or EmDistrict.

Evening dining at a temperature-controlled restaurant.

Skip during recovery. Khao San Road.

Outdoor markets at noon. Boxing matches.

Long temple walks under direct sun. Floating markets (sun + boat motion).

Rooftop bars before sunset. Anything that puts you face-down on a massage table before day 5.

08Pre-flight checklist for a long holiday

Five items to bring or arrange in the two weeks before you fly. The list is short on purpose — the clinic provides almost everything else when you arrive.

Stop blood-thinners 5-7 days before treatment. Aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo, ginseng, and high-dose vitamin C all increase bruising.

Talk to your home dermatologist if you're on prescription anticoagulants — we work with your doctor's clearance, not in spite of it.

Buy travel insurance that covers cosmetic procedures abroad. Most standard travel insurance excludes elective cosmetic medicine. World Nomads, AXA Schengen, and several GCC insurers offer add-ons; bring documentation.

Bring a copy of any previous aesthetic-medicine record. Filler placement, Botox unit history, last HIFU/Thermage session date — even photos. The doctor builds your plan around what you've already had.

Pack mineral SPF 50+. Bangkok sun is strong year-round; chemical sunscreens can interact with post-laser skin. We sell mineral SPF in clinic but you may prefer your own brand.

Confirm your LINE @waleerat connection before you fly. We staff LINE 11:00-19:00 BKK. Test the connection from your home country so any pre-flight question is answered before you board.

09The two branches you can plan around

Siam Square One (BTS Siam, central exit, 2nd floor) — flagship for first-time foreign visitors. Walking distance to Siam Paragon, CentralWorld, and most central-Bangkok hotels.

The Pan-Asian luxe interior is the more photogenic of the two branches — patients who want to combine the visit with a brand-experience moment lean here.

Ekamai (BTS Ekamai exit 4) — standalone Japanese-style clinic on Sukhumvit. Quieter neighbourhood, more convenient for evening or weekend slots, closer to Sukhumvit boutique hotels.

The interior leans more residential-spa than mall-flagship — patients who want the recovery-clinic atmosphere lean here.

10Common questions

Is a 7-day Bangkok trip really enough for thread lift recovery?+
Yes — bruising peaks at day 2-3, settles by day 5-7. The day-7 follow-up at our clinic catches any thread-end visibility or asymmetry, both of which are adjustable on the spot. Flying home day 7+ is fine; thread lift specifically is the treatment that benefits most from a long-holiday window over an express trip.
When is the best time of year to plan a long-holiday Bangkok trip?+
Depends on your home country. The cleanest matches: Japanese Golden Week (Apr 29-May 6 2026), Korean Chuseok (Sep/Oct), Chinese Spring Festival or Oct Golden Week, GCC summer escape (Jun-Aug), Western Christmas-to-NY corridor. Each gives you 7+ continuous days off work.
What if I need a second dose (Sculptra, Profhilo) and I can't extend my trip to 4 weeks?+
Standard solution. We complete dose 1 in Bangkok and arrange dose 2 either on your next trip (we hold the product reserved for you) or via a partner clinic in your home country. Sculptra and Profhilo packaging includes lot info that any qualified doctor in your country can use for the follow-up.
Can I do all my appointments at one branch, or is travelling between Siam and Ekamai standard?+
All your appointments go at one branch. Pick based on hotel proximity and atmosphere preference. You won't need to visit both branches in a single trip.
Is the day-6 follow-up free?+
Yes. Free for all our patients within 14 days of any treatment. The follow-up is a doctor visit, not a nurse — same physician who treated you.
What treatments are NOT recommended even with a 7-day window?+
Eyelid surgery (ptosis correction, blepharoplasty) — needs 14-21 day recovery for the swelling and sutures, and the day-7 photo doesn't show the final result. Hair transplantation — same reason. Open rhinoplasty — we refer out and the recovery is 3+ weeks. For these, plan a 14+ day Bangkok stay or a follow-up flight.
Can I bring a companion — and where do they recover-watch?+
Yes, and many GCC + Asian patients travel with family. The Ekamai branch has a two-bed treatment room for partners or sisters who book together. Companions wait in our VIP lounge at Siam Square One during procedures; both branches have refreshments and English/Mandarin/Arabic-speaking staff who'll keep them updated.
