01Start with the lip, not the brand
Most people arrive with a brand name they saw on social media. A brand name does not tell you what shape you will get.
Shape comes from how firm the gel is, where it is placed and how much is used — and the doctor chooses all three. What you choose is how clearly you describe the lip you want.
In practice the request falls into one of three groups, and naming your group at the start helps more than reciting ten brand names.
- Fuller lips that do not read as treated — softness and blending matter more than a defined border.
- A more defined lip with a crisper border and more dimension — this needs a gel that holds its shape.
- Naturally thin lips wanting real volume — discuss quantity and number of sessions from the first visit.
02The five, and how they differ
All five are hyaluronic acid fillers, the class that can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. What differs is origin, how the molecules are cross-linked, and how firmly the gel holds its shape — which is what you feel and see.
Their registered indications are not identical, and some are registered for facial areas other than the lip. Which one suits your case is a decision for the consultation.
- Juvéderm Volbella (USA) — the member of the Juvéderm range whose FDA-approved labelling indicates it for injection into the lips for lip augmentation and for correction of perioral lines, in adults over 21. Soft, blending-focused.
- Juvéderm Voluma (USA) — a high-cohesion gel in that range. Its FDA-approved labelling indicates it for deep injection for cheek augmentation in the mid-face and for augmentation of the chin, in adults over 21; the lip is not in that indication. If a projected, structured lip is the goal, discuss with the doctor how to reach it using a product indicated for the lip, and placement technique.
- Restylane Kysse (Sweden) — the Restylane family member made for lips, formulated to flex as the lip moves.
- HYAMAX Lips (Switzerland) — a Swiss-origin HA filler with a high-cohesion cross-linked gel, aimed at crisp shaping that holds.
- Neuramis (Korea) — a Korean HA filler; see the price table below for its per-cc figure.
03Prices — published and quoted
The clinic publishes a price only where the basis for it can be checked after the fact. In the lip-filler group that is currently two products.
The other three have no published price, and we would rather leave that blank than print an estimate.
The figures below are per 1 cc, as shown on the service pages. How much any one person needs differs, and the doctor assesses that at consultation.
- Restylane Kysse — ฿20,000 / 1 cc
- Neuramis — ฿4,999 / 1 cc

04What to know before a lip injection
The lip is a vessel-dense area, so injecting filler there depends on an understanding of vascular anatomy. That is why the choice of injector carries more weight than the choice of brand.
Early swelling and bruising are common, and the shape on day one is not the final shape. Book a review before deciding to add more.
One advantage of the HA class is that it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. If the result is not what was agreed, there is a way back — which fillers outside this class do not offer.
05Five questions to ask first
A clinic working to standard can answer all five. If any one of them cannot be answered, that is information for your decision.
- Which product are you using today, and may I see the box and Lot number before it is opened? Here, every syringe is shown before use and the same detail can be reconfirmed later.
- Is this product registered for use in the lip?
- Who is injecting, and how much lip experience do they have?
- If the result is not what we agreed, what happens next, and does it cost more?
- How many cc, and what is the total price, before we start?
