Ruby Laser delivers nanosecond pulses at the 694nm wavelength — the most selective wavelength for melanin absorption among the Q-switched lasers in our menu (Ruby vs Pico-Alex vs Nd:YAG). Used primarily for: amateur and professional tattoo removal (especially blue-black inks), solar lentigines (sun spots), café-au-lait macules, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that hasn't responded to topical regimens.
The shallow tissue penetration of 694nm means lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation on Type IV–V Asian skin compared to longer-wavelength lasers — which is why our patient base for Ruby Laser is heavily Asian-skin-typed.
