01What a "shot" actually is — a number you can verify on the spot
Each time the device releases energy, that's one shot. The treatment tip is a consumable with a fixed lifespan set at manufacture — once its total shot count is used, it stops working and cannot be reused.
So shot count isn't a number a clinic states casually; it's a hard figure you can check on the spot. Before treatment starts, a legitimate clinic can show you the tip's remaining shot count, and again afterward — the difference is exactly what you used.
This is also why shot-based pricing is relatively transparent: the unit is defined by the device, not by marketing.
02Why the same treatment — can cost several times more at different places
First, shot count. A 900-shot session covers more area and density than 600 shots, so the price differs.
But the right shot count should be set by your degree of laxity and the treatment plan, not by "more is better" — shots beyond what the plan calls for just cost more without a proportional improvement.
Second, tip type. Face, eye, and body tips are different consumables at different prices.
The skin around the eyes is thin, which is why it uses a dedicated eye tip — that's why "face plus eyes" is two line items, not one.
Third, area and plan. Full face, jawline, neck — each covers a different area and needs a different shot count.
So a proper quote should break down into "which tip × how many shots × which area." A quote that can't be broken down that way can't be meaningfully compared to any other quote.
03CPT vs FLX — what the generation difference actually means
Thermage CPT (4th generation) and FLX (5th generation) are two device generations. FLX updated the treatment tip and the treatment experience, and the tips between the two generations are not interchangeable.
This is a factual difference, not a verdict — which one suits you depends on your skin condition and treatment goals, so ask your physician directly at consultation which generation they use and why.
04Our device pricing — is published, not quoted case by case
Waleerat Clinic publishes its price list openly. On-record prices for device treatments (Thai Baht, as of August 2026 — check the current published list for updates): Thermage FLX (5th generation) — Face Tip 600 shots ฿50,000, Face Tip 900 shots ฿65,000, Eyes Tip 450 shots ฿29,999, Body Tip 2,000 shots ฿89,999.
Oligio (monopolar RF) — 150 shots ฿9,999, 300 shots ฿15,999, 600 shots ฿25,999, 900 shots ฿35,999. Focused ultrasound: Ulthera priced per shot at ฿89, Ultraformer III priced per shot at ฿25.
The quote is the invoice price. There is no in-clinic markup and no foreign-patient surcharge — this isn't promotional pricing, it's simply the published list, the same for everyone.
05Why a quote given — without seeing your face isn't trustworthy
Price is set by tip type and shot count. Someone who has never seen your face has no way to know which tip you need or how many shots.
A total price dropped into a chat window is either a low anchor meant to get you into the clinic before adding line items, or a maximum-plan quote — neither is a real quote, both are a sales tactic.
The credible process runs the other way: an in-person assessment of your laxity type and area first, then a written plan of tip × shot count × area. The price is the outcome of the plan, not the opening line of a chat.
