01Why Bangkok costs less — overhead, not quality
Singapore clinics are excellent. The reason a session costs more there is structural overhead, not better product.
Orchard Road and CBD clinic rent is among the highest in Asia, physician and nurse salaries reflect Singapore cost of living, and imported medical consumables carry GST plus distributor margin. Every treatment invoice carries all of that.
Bangkok operates on a lower cost base for the same inputs. Clinic real estate near Sukhumvit is a fraction of an Orchard Road frontage, Thai-trained physicians earn a lower base than their Singapore peers, and most medical consumables enter Thailand under a Ministry of Public Health licence with low or zero import duty.
So the same Profhilo or Sculptra vial that lands in Singapore at a premium lands in Bangkok far cheaper at the point of service. The difference is overhead, not the molecule in the syringe.
02Procedure-by-procedure: Bangkok baht vs Singapore SGD
Bangkok figures are Waleerat 2026 prices in Thai Baht. Singapore figures are approximate market ranges as of 2026, shown in SGD — they vary by clinic and brand, so treat them as a guide, not a quote.
Exchange rate used: 1 SGD is approximately 27 baht.
- Profhilo (bio-remodelling, per session): Bangkok ฿10,000 (approx SGD 370) vs Singapore approx SGD 800-1,200.
- Sculptra (PLLA biostimulator, per session): Bangkok ฿25,000 (approx SGD 925) vs Singapore approx SGD 1,200-2,000 per vial.
- Juvelook (PDLLA skin-quality biostimulator, per cc): Bangkok ฿14,999 (approx SGD 555) vs Singapore approx SGD 800-1,400.
- HA filler per syringe (Juvederm / Restylane): Bangkok ฿12,000-20,000 (approx SGD 445-740) vs Singapore approx SGD 800-1,500.
- Botox per area (Allergan; Korean brands lower): Bangkok ฿4,500-8,000 (approx SGD 167-296) vs Singapore approx SGD 350-700.
- HIFU full face plus neck (Ultraformer / Ulthera): Bangkok ฿25,000-55,000 (approx SGD 925-2,040) vs Singapore approx SGD 1,500-4,500.
03Same brands, same global quality chain — different overhead
A fair question: is Bangkok cheaper because it is cutting corners? For branded injectables and devices, no.
Profhilo (IBSA) uses the same thermally stabilised hyaluronic acid formulation worldwide. Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) under the same manufacturing standard everywhere it ships.
Allergan Botox is the identical onabotulinumtoxinA formulation under Thai FDA licence, kept on a 2-8C cold chain from import to injection, with a Lot number verifiable on the maker's global tracking system (we check this for patients who ask).
Juvederm (Allergan/AbbVie) and Restylane (Galderma, NASHA technology) are the same products distributed across the region, including Singapore. The HIFU and energy devices are the same platforms too — Ultraformer III, Ulthera SPT and Prime are the identical machines a Singapore clinic uses.
What changes between the two cities is the overhead loaded onto each session, not the brand, the molecule, or the protocol.
04The travel math: net saving after flights and hotel
Take a typical Singapore biostim-and-skin-quality plan: one Profhilo session, one Sculptra session, two HA filler syringes, and Botox for two areas. Bangkok total at Waleerat works out to roughly ฿70,000-80,000 (about SGD 2,600-2,960).
The same plan in Singapore, using the approximate ranges above, lands closer to SGD 4,500-6,500. Treatment saving before travel: roughly SGD 1,900-3,500.
Travel overhead is small because Singapore is close. A return SIN-BKK flight (about 2h 20m direct on the usual carriers) runs roughly SGD 200-450 booked ahead.
Three nights in a 4-star Sukhumvit hotel runs roughly SGD 300-600. Meals and transport add maybe SGD 150-300.
Total travel: roughly SGD 650-1,350.
Net saving after travel on this example plan: roughly SGD 1,000-2,500, even allowing for the higher end of flight and hotel cost. For a single high-value item like a Sculptra series the per-session gap alone often covers the whole trip, and the saving grows with the size of the plan.
The point is not that Bangkok is cheap — it is that you are paying for the same brands without the Orchard Road overhead.
05What Singapore patients gain beyond the cost saving
Cost is the entry point; it is rarely the only reason patients come back. Consultations and aftercare run in English, so the plan, the brands, the lot numbers, and the realistic timeline are explained clearly before anything is injected.
Singapore patients tend to arrive with a biostim or skin-quality goal (Profhilo, Sculptra, Juvelook), and that is exactly the work this clinic does most — see our biostimulator guide, our Profhilo vs HA filler guide, and our Sculptra physician guide for the detail behind each recommendation.
Privacy and pace matter too. Waleerat is a boutique clinic, not a high-volume chain, so there are no shared waiting areas and the same physician follows your plan across visits.
Logistics are easy: frequent direct flights from Changi, a Sukhumvit location close to the BTS, and WhatsApp coordination in English before you fly so the consult and treatment can be sequenced into a short trip.
