01Why Bangkok — an honest comparison with China tier-1-city clinics
Chinese patients have three credible aesthetic paths: stay in a local tier-1 city, fly to Seoul, or fly to Bangkok. Honestly: a tier-1 city keeps the trip shortest but pays the highest local pricing; Seoul has deep brand selection for facial work and a mature regulatory regime but adds transit and tighter scheduling; Bangkok offers the same Western and Korean brands at a typically lower out-the-door price, with a direct flight of only about 3 to 4.5 hours.
The price gap is the core. Take Juvéderm HA filler at 1cc: tier-1-city clinics in 2026 commonly run roughly RMB 4,000 to 7,000 (about ฿20,000 to 35,000 at 1 RMB to ฿5, approximate).
The same product, same indication, at Waleerat Bangkok is ฿11,999 (about RMB 2,400). Energy and regenerative treatments follow a similar pattern.
In many cases, flights plus hotel plus treatment still total less than the treatment alone at home.
Brand consistency is the second factor. Thailand's Ministry of Public Health requires aesthetic clinics to source injectables through licensed distributors with full chain-of-custody documentation.
The main brands Chinese patients already know — Allergan Botox, Juvéderm, Restylane, Sculptra, Profhilo, Ulthera, Thermage — are all available at Waleerat, with Lot certificates available on request.
We treat this as a hub: each signature treatment has a more detailed Chinese-language guide for further reading (for example an energy-device comparison guide and a biostimulator guide), so you can choose by anatomy and indication rather than by brand or budget alone.
02Signature treatments — energy tightening plus biostimulators
The pairing Chinese patients choose most often is a two-track combination of energy plus regeneration. Energy handles immediate and mid-term tightening; biostimulators drive the long-term collagen rebuilding that builds up over several months.
They work at different depths, complement each other, and are usually staged across visits rather than done in one session.
Energy tightening (HIFU or Thermage). Focused ultrasound (devices such as Ulthera and Ultraformer) acts on the SMAS layer, while Thermage uses monopolar radiofrequency to heat the dermis and promote collagen contraction and new collagen.
They target different depths and are often used as complements. We have a dedicated Chinese-language energy-device comparison guide explaining how to choose between Ulthera and Thermage by degree of laxity and skin quality.
Biostimulators (Juvelook-type or Sculptra-type). Juvelook-type products (PDLLA fine microspheres) suit patients in their 30s to 40s with fine skin and early laxity and stimulate more gently; Sculptra-type products (PLLA larger microspheres) suit structural volume loss and can last 24 months or more.
The Bangkok 2026 price ladder runs roughly ฿9,999 to ฿24,999. We have a Chinese-language biostimulator guide that maps each ingredient to the indication it truly fits.
HA filler and Botox as companions. HA filler handles immediate volume (visible in the mirror tomorrow), while Botox handles dynamic lines.
A common sequence: start with an energy base, layer biostimulators 4 to 6 weeks later, and weave in HA filler and Botox as needed. You get same-day satisfaction plus gradual improvement six months out.
03Authenticity and cold chain — how to verify the genuine article
Authenticity is one of the top concerns for Chinese patients. We make verification a visible, checkable process rather than a verbal promise.
First, Thai FDA registration. Every injectable brand used in the clinic is a Thai FDA registered product, sourced through a licensed distributor with full chain-of-custody documentation listing source country, manufacturer, and batch number.
Second, Lot verification. For the main brands (Botox, Juvéderm, Restylane and others), each unit carries a verifiable Lot number; when a patient asks, we check it on the spot.
Third, in-person box opening (Open-Box Protocol). We open every product in front of the patient so you can confirm the packaging, batch number, and expiry date before anything proceeds.
Fourth, cold chain. Products that require refrigeration are kept at 2 to 8°C throughout, from import to storage to injection, with no break. This is routine standard practice, not a special accommodation.
04Travel and arrival — flights, visa, area
China to Bangkok is one of Asia's densest air corridors. Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Kunming all have daily nonstops to Bangkok, with a flight time of about 3 to 4.5 hours into Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Muang (DMK).
Visa: please confirm current rules through the Chinese embassy or consulate in Thailand and Thai Immigration; most aesthetic trips run 5 to 10 nights, which is ample. Entry typically requires a passport valid for 6 or more months, return or onward travel, and a hotel confirmation.
Area and stay: the clinic is in the city center, near Siam and ICONSIAM. We recommend a hotel within two BTS Skytrain stations of the clinic, which keeps follow-up commutes to about 10 to 12 minutes.
The airport to the clinic is about 45 to 75 minutes depending on traffic; patients who prefer certainty can take the Airport Rail Link to Phaya Thai and change to the BTS to Siam.
Trip rhythm: we suggest compressing the main treatments into 2 to 3 days and using the rest for recovery and sightseeing. For example, Day 1 land plus consultation, Day 2 main treatment (energy or biostimulator), Day 3 rest or a light treatment, Day 4 review plus touch-up, Day 5 departure.
When energy and regeneration are staged separately, the trip can extend modestly.
05Payment and language — UnionPay / Alipay / WeChat Pay and Chinese coordination
Payment methods. The clinic accepts UnionPay, Alipay, and WeChat Pay, as well as international credit cards (Visa, Mastercard).
Prices are always quoted in Thai Baht; when you pay with an RMB card, your issuing bank applies the day's exchange rate. A handy rule of thumb is about 1 RMB to ฿5 (rates move).
Price transparency. The quote is the invoice price, with no foreign-patient surcharge. Package prices (energy courses, biostimulator courses) are locked in writing at booking and do not rise at the clinic.
Mental-math examples (approximate, rates move): ฿11,999 for 1cc HA filler is about RMB 2,400; ฿20,000 per vial of Sculptra-type PLLA is about RMB 4,000; ฿14,999 per cc of Juvelook-type PDLLA is about RMB 3,000.
Language and comfort. Chinese-speaking coordination is available by appointment, covering pre-arrival communication and in-clinic translation.
Clinical work is conducted fully in English, with Thai as the native language. Tell the booking team via LINE @waleerat that you need Chinese coordination, and we structure the day accordingly.
06Beyond price — what you gain
Price is the entry point. What brings patients back is honest plan design: we recommend by anatomy and indication, not by pushing a brand to fit a budget.
We stack when stacking helps and stage when staging helps, with energy and regeneration each doing their job.
Verifiable peace of mind: Thai FDA registration, Lot verification, in-person box opening, and a 2 to 8°C cold chain form a checkable chain. Chinese patients' authenticity concerns get a concrete answer here, not a vague promise.
Further reading (the hub links out): the Chinese-language energy-device comparison guide (how to choose Ulthera vs Thermage), the Chinese-language biostimulator guide (the mechanisms and indications of Juvelook-type, Sculptra-type, Profhilo, and Rejuran), and the Bangkok vs tier-1-city price comparison. Read these together and you can plan your treatment before you fly.
Before you travel, please book via LINE @waleerat and mention that you need Chinese coordination plus the treatments you care about. We confirm the physician and schedule, lock the package price in writing, and prepare the brand documentation you want to verify in advance.
