01Why international patients choose Bangkok for thread lift
Thread lift is the only non-surgical procedure that physically repositions facial tissue without cutting skin, and the premium Korean PDO and PCL threads used in Bangkok are the same ones marketed in Singapore, the Gulf, and Korea itself. The difference international patients notice is the price, and the reason is overhead, not thread quality.
A clinic in Singapore or Dubai carries prime real estate, imported-consumable duty, and high physician salaries in every invoice. Bangkok operates at a lower cost base on all three, so the same cog-thread program lands at a fraction of the home-country quote.
The thread going into your face is identical; what changes is the operating cost behind it.
02The transparent 2026 price table
Prices as of 2026 in Thai Baht, with approximate conversions for context. Exchange used: 1 SGD ≈ ฿27, 1 AED ≈ ฿9.4, 1 USD ≈ ฿36. Conversions are approximate and move with the rate.
- Entry / refine (fine PDO, small area): from ฿3,999 (about SGD 148 / AED 425 / USD 111).
- Mid lift (PDO cog, lower face OR jawline): ฿15,000–฿25,000 (about SGD 555–925 / AED 1,600–2,660).
- Structural lift (PCL/PLLA cog, multi-zone): ฿25,000–฿50,000 (about SGD 925–1,850 / AED 2,660–5,320).
- Full-face flagship program (multi-zone, high thread count): up to ฿129,000 (about SGD 4,780 / AED 13,720 / USD 3,580).
- Under-eye fine thread (small fixed count): quoted as a separate low-count plan — see section 04.
- For comparison, an equivalent cog-thread program is commonly SGD 2,500–6,000 in Singapore and AED 8,000–18,000 in Dubai — the gap is overhead, not the thread.
03Grand Diamond vs Onyx vs Ruby — what each program is for
Patients arrive asking for a thread by name (Grand Diamond, Onyx, Ruby). The names are program tiers, not magic — the right one is decided by how much structural lift your face needs, not by the label.
Grand Diamond is the structural, high-thread-count program for heavier laxity and multi-zone repositioning. Onyx sits in the middle for moderate lower-face or jawline lift.
Ruby is the entry/refine tier for early laxity or a light touch-up. The physician maps your laxity at consultation and quotes the tier that matches the indication — and will say plainly if a lighter tier is enough.

04Under-eye thread and how thread count drives cost
Under-eye and fine-zone thread is one of the most common international questions, and it is priced differently from a lower-face lift. The under-eye area uses a small fixed number of very fine threads, so it is a lower-count, lower-cost plan than a full jawline program — the physician confirms the exact thread count after assessing the area, because over-threading a delicate zone is the wrong move.
For the face generally, thread lift is priced by thread count, not as a flat fee: more lift over more zones means more threads, which is why an honest quote only comes after the doctor sees your laxity. As a rule of thumb, a single zone (jawline OR lower face) needs fewer threads than a full lower-face-plus-neck reposition.
Ask for the thread count and the per-program price in writing before you book so you can compare cost-per-effect, not just a headline number.
05Planning a single-trip thread lift
Thread lift is a single-session procedure with about 2–5 days of mild swelling or tightness, so it fits a short trip — but sequencing matters if you want more than one treatment. The usual order for a single visit is energy lifting or thread first, then injectables later in the trip; if you want both thread and HIFU, the consultation builds the schedule and tells you honestly what is appropriate to combine.
See our HIFU device comparison for how the two work together.
Practical notes for international patients: thread brands carry verifiable lot numbers and the clinic maintains cold-chain handling, foreign Visa, Mastercard, and Amex are accepted without surcharge, and prices are quoted in baht so your bank applies the conversion. Bring any prior treatment record so the physician can plan around past threads or filler.
