Pailin is a cog thread made from polydioxanone (PDO), a synthetic absorbable suture material used in surgery for decades. The barbs along the thread engage tissue and hold it in the position the physician sets, while the material itself is absorbed over roughly 6–8 months and stimulates collagen while it is present.

- Use gentle cleansing after 24 hours and follow the clinic's makeup timing.
