- A collagen biostimulator, not a hyaluronic acid filler: 30% polycaprolactone microspheres suspended in 70% carboxymethyl cellulose gel. The gel gives volume immediately and resorbs over two to three months; the PCL prompts your own type I collagen to take its place.

Polycaprolactone has been used for absorbable surgical sutures for over twenty years, so its behaviour in human tissue has a longer record than most aesthetic products. Ellansé places it deep — on bone or under muscle, not superficially — where it suits temples, midface, jawline and chin.
What holds the tissue up at month twelve is your own collagen, not the product. It is worth being clear about the trade: unlike an HA filler, Ellansé cannot be dissolved with an enzyme.
