Radiesse is the original calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microsphere injectable from Merz Aesthetics (USA), used since 2003 in aesthetic medicine for collagen-stimulating volume restoration and dermal lift. CaHA microspheres act as scaffolding for fibroblast attachment, triggering Type I + Type III collagen production over 8–12 weeks.
The microspheres are gradually metabolised over 18–24 months while the patient's own collagen scaffold remains. Halal-compatible — calcium hydroxylapatite is a synthetic mineral identical to the calcium-phosphate compound naturally found in bone.
The carrier gel is methylcellulose-based (plant-derived). The closest comparable product is Reset Regenerative (also CaHA microsphere, pre-filled syringe variant); Radiesse is the original brand with the longer clinical-evidence record.
